THREE WISHES FOR CINDERELLA I Kiel Philharmonic Orchestra I 24 November 2019

“The cheeks are soiled with ashes, but it isn’t the chimney sweep … A little hat with feathers, the crossbow over the shoulder, but a it isn’t the hunter … A silver dress with a train to the ball, but it isn’t a princess …”

For some, roasted almonds are an absolute must at Christmas time, for others it must be hazelnuts – exactly three pieces. Fairy tale fans should already have their eyes shining, as these nuts are the three most important magic utensils in one of the most beautiful fairy tale films worldwide. Since its cinema premiere in 1973 in what was then Czechoslovakia, THREE WISHES FOR CINDERELLA has now been broadcast in over 50 countries around the globe, bringing a little fairytale magic into our living rooms every year at Christmas time.
