Daring to build bridges to other arts, conquering unconventional venues and paving unimagined paths for music to reach new ears: The Zukunftsorchester has been realising these goals since 2008 within the framework of its biennial format FREISPIEL. Under the motto GOLDRAUSCH, the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie presents a three-part revue this season in the tradition of the great colourful cinema evenings of the Weimar Republic. With newly arranged Brecht settings, the silent film classic Der Schatz (The Treasure) including live film music, pantomime and performance, the musicians and artists span the arc from the golden 1920s to the present and make it clear that the themes of consumption, avarice and greed are as relevant then as they are now.
