Drama

Frank Wedekind’s literary works “Erdgeist” and “Pandora’s Box” inspired Georg Wilhelm Pabst to direct an extraordinary film that transcends its time. Louise Brooks’ portrayal of the sensuous Lulu, a hedonistic dancer and prostitute, made her an international success overnight. This is a story full of murder, intrigue, lust and adventure!

Dr. Schoen is madly in love with the beautiful Lulu who forces Dr. Schoen to marry her. In the evening of their wedding, Dr Schoen discovers that his son Alwa and the Countess Geschwitz are courting Lulu as well. Dr. Schoen tries to convince Lulu to kill herself, but instead the bullet strikes Dr. Schoen. PANDORA’S BOX is an adventurous story of escape that ends in London, where Lulu meets her last lover, Jack the Ripper.
